They can be used independently, or operate as a basis for enriching other special effects of the range, such as varieties Pearlized, Metallic, Hi-lite Or Cameleon.

Full description

The collection Opaque Crétex brings together first quality acrylic paintings, remarkable for their incomparable opacity. Designed specifically for artists looking for total coverage, they have the unique capacity to effectively hide any existing color or texture on the work medium.

Beyond their impressive opacity, these paintings stand out for a range of rich and diverse colors. This variety offers artists the possibility of creating an extensive spectrum of shades and colors, stimulating their creativity and their artistic expression. The texture of these paintings is both creamy and fluid, which facilitates their mixture and ensures an application that slides effortlessly on the surface, transforming each gesture into a real moment of pleasure.

Another significant advantage of the opaque Crétex paintings lies in their exceptional sustainability. Once dry, they create a water resistant surface, ensuring effective protection of your work against possible damage.

In addition, these paintings are respectful of the environment and devoid of toxicity, allowing artists of all ages to use them safely.

In conclusion, the Crétex opaque paintings represent an option of choice for all artists who are looking for brilliant colors, excellent coverage and painful and reliable painting for their works. Painting advice

Painting a RC car body (radio controlled) can be a fun and creative process. Here is a series of general steps to paint a RC body using Createx paintings and an airbrush:

  1. Body preparation: The first step is to clean the body of your RC car well. You can use warm soapy water for this. Make sure to remove all dirt and oils that could prevent painting from adhering well. Let the body dry completely before continuing.
  2. Masking: If you plan to use several colors or if you have a specific design in mind, you will have to hide certain parts of the body. Use masking tape specially designed for this, and take your time to ensure clear and precise lines.
  3. Preparation of painting: Createx paintings must be well agitated before use. For the airbrush, you may need to dilute your painting. The consistency must be similar to that of a skimmed milk. If necessary, add a few drops of water or specific diluent for airbrush.
  4. Apply the painting: With your airbrush, start applying the paint with thin and uniform layers. Start by the edge and work towards the center. It is best to paint in several thin layers rather than a single thick layer to avoid drips. Let each layer dry before applying the next.
  5. Detail : Once your basic color is dry, you can add details or other colors if you wish. Make sure each layer is completely dry before continuing.
  6. Finishes: After letting your last layer of paint dry completely, you can gently remove the masking tape. For a brilliant and durable finish, consider applying a transparent varnish specially designed for airbrush painting.
  7. Cleaning: Do not forget to clean your airbrush after each use to keep it in good working order.

Remember that painting with an airbrush is a skill that improves with practice. So take your time and have fun with the process. Good painting!

Createx application tips

They apply to the pistol (nozzle 1.2- 1.4) or to the airbrush (noise 0.5). An airbrush with 0.3 nozzle can be used provided that the paint is diluted with the Diluant Autoair Reducer. They support urethanes and polyurethanes varnishes.

Dilution advice

The Createx opaque paint is an acrylic paint based on high quality water, it can be diluted for the application to the airbrush. However, it is important not to dilute the painting too much, as it could reduce its opacity. Here are some general tips to dilute Createx opaque painting:

  1. Proportions of dilution: In general, a ratio of 1: 1 (part of paint for a part of diluent or water) is a good starting point. However, it will depend on the size of the nozzle of your airbrush and the specific viscosity of the paint you use.
  2. Recommended diluent: Createx recommends using their specific airbrush for airograph. However, distilled water can also be used if you do not have a diluent for airbrush.
  3. Viscosity: The diluted painting must have the consistency of a skimmed milk. If the paint is too thick, it could obstruct your airbrush. If it is too fine, it may not cover properly and reduce opacity.
  4. First test: Always test the paint diluted on a test surface before applying it to your final project. This will allow you to verify that the consistency is correct and that the paint adheres well to the surface.
  5. Shake well: Make sure you wave the painting before and after dilution to ensure a uniform distribution of the pigments.
  6. Cleaning: Always clean your airbrush after use to prevent paint from drying up and blocks the airbrush.
  7. 0.2 mm to 0.3 mm nozzles: These nozzles are quite small and require a very fine paint. For these sizes, the paint must generally be diluted by approximately 2/3 of paint for 1/3 of water or specific diluent for airbrush.
  8. 0.3 mm to 0.5 mm nozzles: These are sizes of nozzles commonly used for airograph. For these nozzles, a dilution of approximately 1/2 of paint for 1/2 of water or diluent could be appropriate.
  9. Nozzles over 0.5 mm: These larger nozzles can generally manage a thicker paint. For these sizes, you may need a dilution of approximately 2/3 of paint for 1/3 of water or diluent.

Remember that the consistency you are targeting is that of a skimmed milk. Always test on a test surface before starting to work on your final project. It is also important to clean your airograph well after each use to avoid clogging and extend the life of your equipment.
